Rainbows....

Through the eyes of a child we can see so much! Where did our dreams go? Or our goals as a child? I often wonder about imagination and how the world seemed so full of possibilities and opportunities! On the way home from church last night David was looking at a picture we painted and laminated about a month ago. He was in awe of the rainbow asking what each vibrant color was. Then he excitedly asked if I could go get a rainbow for him.... to which I replied I could not, that I cannot get a rainbow from the sky. In his innocence he said, "that's okay Mommy, I can go climb up to the sky quickly and get a rainbow, and bring it back down!"
Oh how sweet the innocence of a child! The world has not yet stomped and squashed out that imagination! He is still able to think freely, feel freely and create freely in his mind what it is he wants to do! Oh to have that childlike innocence at times! How often it seems I get caught up with needing to fold the laundry that has piled up for the last 2 weeks, giving the dogs yet another bath due to their love of mud puddles, or washing the walls where the children have decided it's easier to wipe a bugger there instead of blowing their nose and throwing the tissue away!
I issue this challenge, to let go of the things that don't need to be done, and embrace those moments with those you love and care about, and let your imaginations flow freely! Get creative and do something together..... don't let the world squash those dreams!

2 Corinthians 5:8-10

New International Version (NIV)
We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord. So we make it our goal to please him, whether we are at home in the body or away from it. 10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each of us may receive what is due us for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.
